Data Spaces Symposium Cover

Data Spaces Symposium 2025

The Data Spaces Symposium is the premier global event dedicated to the future of data spaces, bringing together the brightest minds, leading innovators, and pioneering organizations to shape a connected, data-driven world.

Data spaces are key to achieving sovereign, interoperable and trustworthy data-sharing across businesses and societies – a key step to the data economy of the future. The Green Deal Data Space (GDDS) is one of the common European data spaces envisioned by the European Commission which will integrate enormous amounts of cross-sectorial data in support of the priority actions of the Green Deal in terms of biodiversity, zero pollution, circular economy, climate change, forestal services, smart mobility and environmental compliance.

AD4GD is one of the projects conducting research to elaborate a proposal of building blocks for the future creation of this dedicated data space with a focus on FAIR principles, international standards and interoperability concepts for heterogeneous data integration. We are sponsoring this event together with the USAGE project through our common partner, the OGC. We will not only be attending the event, but will also be able to present:

–  All Event – Green Deal Data Space Booth: we will present results of AD4GD, as well as of the joint actions of the EuroGEO Green Deal Data Space Action Group.

– Tuesday 11 March – 13:30. Presentation | Integrating geospatial data standards in the data spaces | Joan Masó Pau (CREAF)

– Wednesday 12 March – 15:30. Keynote | Spatial data: Embracing data spaces for enhanced data sharing and SDG progress | Ingo Simonis (OGC)

This event is organized by the Data Spaces Support Centre and the Data Spaces Business Alliance. The Alliance is converging the best skills, assets, and experience in Europe into a one-stop-shop for data spaces, from inception to deployment. It is integrated by are Gaia-X European Association for Data and Cloud AISBL, the Big Data Value Association (BDVA), FIWARE Foundation, and the International Data Spaces Association (IDSA).
