Mission
AD4GD conducted research and implemented FAIR components for the European Green Data Space (GDDS). The project’s mission was to interoperability of Earth observation data through the OGC SensorThings API and semantic enrichment pipelines. AD4GD’s mission was also to enable processing of machine learning data in the cloud and to guarantee that the results are findable and securely accessible using the data space protocol implemented in the Eclipse Dataspace Connector. The components were validated in three pilot cases: enhancing water quality and quantity monitoring in Berlin lakes, assessing habitat connectivity changes in Catalonia and improving the resolution of CAMS air quality maps with urban citizen science. The results will be transferred to the SAGE project to contribute to the development of the GDDS.
The AD4GD consortium researched the concept of data space and proposed components that responded to the needs of the GDDS in collaboration with other projects and initiatives as the GREAT, FAIRiCUBE, B3 and USAGE Horizon projects, as part of the EuroGEO Action Group for the Green Deal Data Space.
